7th May 2020
The first time I’ve posted a blog and it’s about COVID19. However it’s something positive about it . . .
The photography business is on almost complete “pause” right now, whether you work in events like weddings and parties or are usually travelling the world taking amazing photos of the globe.
Financially it’s not very good for some of us and I for one have applied to pick fruit in the local fields and am awaiting a response to be included in the British harvest!
The delay in weddings which are my bread and butter has devastated me and my brilliant couples who cant wait to take the plunge. We will just have to hold on and wait until it’s safe to carry on and make an even bigger celebration once things return to normal.
But what to do in limbo . . . . a lightbulb moment!
Doorstep Photography! 💡
Many photographers up and down the country have started doing doorstep photography and I’m going to join in!
What a great way to document our lives at a standstill or to recognise those who are out on the front lines. I will be taking a few snaps of the locals in my village at home or at work from a safe distance, literally on the doorstep of their homes and businesses. In many years time we’ll all have a reference to where we were and what we looked like during this colossal moment of our history.
I can’t wait to get started!
If you want to join in, you’ll get 5 professional photos. It takes no more than 10 minutes, I’ll stand 2 metres away. Donations are accepted and 50% of this will go to Isabel Hospice who recently had a devastating fire that ruined their kitchen in the middle of the pandemic.
Contact me to get your shot! You will be added into a new gallery I am creating here to mark this moment in time.
Till next time,
Case
